What the law says: the DMCA requires the notice to include your name and a signature as the copyright owner (or their authorized agent) — legally, that means your real identity stands behind the notice.

What happens in practice: many creators file under the stage name their work is published under, and hosts routinely accept it. But the statute contemplates your legal identity, and the notice is signed under penalty of perjury — if you're unsure, file through an agent or ask a lawyer. Either way, use a dedicated business email, never your personal one.
